2014 Annual Conference - 1st & 2nd May - Booking form available

Dear Members,

It is with great pleasure that I inform you that bookings for the AMHEC Annual Conference 2014 are now open. The theme of the Conference is ‘The Pursuit of Excellence’ and will take place at the University of Chester on Thursday 1st May and Friday 2nd May 2014.

With Universities vying for position in league and NSS tables, seeking awards that publicly celebrate and promote their successes, striving for new and innovative ways to strengthen their student offer, market share, and local/national/international reputation, what is it that makes a University truly 'excellent' and stand out from the crowd? At the AMHEC 2014 Conference we will reflect on how the growing pressure of competition is driving Universities to think hard about what they do and whether we are doing enough within our own HEIs to ensure and celebrate our own excellence. With speakers from inside and outside the sector, we will hear from Universities who have been recognised for their success, gain an insight into копии часов what those entering into HE really want from their experience and hear about the leadership challenge. This is sure to be another great conference with plenty for us to think about.

Presentations are already confirmed from HEFCE, the National College for Teaching & Leadership, Professor Peter Slee, PVC University of Huddersfield (THES University of the Year 2013), Liam Nolan (Executive Head Teacher, Perry Beeches The Academy), Paul Gentle (Leadership Foundation, Director of Programmes) and Steve Knight (Mouchel Consultancy). The opening address will be given by Professor Tim Wheeler, Vice-Chancellor, University of Chester. Additional speakers to be confirmed shortly.

The Conference is sure to offer another engaging programme of speakers and provide an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues and debate what is happening in the sector.

To book your place please complete the booking form [Early Bird Discount available until 28th February 2014] and return to Caroline Jackman and for any further information do not hesitate to call us on 01244 512901 or e-mail amhec1960@gmail.com

I look forward to seeing you in Chester.
